April 2008
I’m starting to think it’s time I owned my own laptop again.
Must find out the AppleEvents to send XML to Final Cut Express (are they same as Pro?) At least if all else fails “write XML, make user do”
UK apple store is down “We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly”, but I want to shop NOW.
Heading home. I hate saying goodbye at the airport. Hungry. Sad. Cold. Close to getting wet.
Trying out appEngine as a host for various “I could do with something for…” tasks.
Hello again London.
It is good to be back in the land of data on my mobile. First email check in 24 hours… Oh yeah.
Bye bye Copenhagen. Nice seeing you.
Time to head back to the airport.
Ah, drunk people are so much fun when you’ve only been drinking diet coke all night :)
Pre-dinner drinks seem to be champagne or champagne.
Half way through the day! One good video. Damn AV company, cant do a simple audio feed without problems.
Early night for me… Early start tomorrow, but free breakfast!
Plan for quiet time in room scuttled, seems I’m going on a cruise instead.
My room at the Scandic Copenhagan is nicer than my other recent work hotel rooms. Free wifi too.
Oh yeah… Helloooooo Copenhagen!
On track for being ready on time today. No panic for me!
I want a 32GB 3G iPhone. Also free money. On second thought I’ll take the free money.
Purchased a few domains today http://tinyurl.com/6zkexm and

It’s Tuesday, we all know what that means… it’s PIRATE DAY! (well, not really, but a pirate can dream, can’t he? YARRRRRR)
“YouTube: a shortcut to obscurity.” (source: coworker)
Push pad to get out. Short. To the point. I like it.
Waiting patiently at the doctors. Me, patiently? You might ask, but on this occasion yes.
Seriously annoyed that Windows let’s users change the .exe file association. Why? No, don’t answer, I don’t want to know.
New name: http://m.ac.nz/cine/ getting close to being ready to open it up at least for testers.
Bah. My monthly NHS prescription charge is going up to £7.10 (from 6.85). How dare they!
The amount of tv advertising for insurance companies in the UK is absolutely insane.
24 hours totally computer free each week isn’t so bad (well, I do still have an iPhone)
Out drinking.
By which I meant a total of two beers. I cant drink like I used to.
Weather in London is crappy. Cold. Gray sky. Not so fun.

SVN is notably absent, but then I…
Need to do New and Open for Injectr databases. May regret not using the document based model…
Wow, flickr has Maori as one of the languages used in the homepage “Hello”
It’s far too late to start learning how to send Apple Events.
Final Cut Pro XML here I come!
Injectr is starting to seriously rock, yet it’s still only 1MB. I love the OS X apis.
I wish Mail.app would let you specify fallback fonts when sending.
Thunderstorm (Matthew Sweet) is a great track. Great I say.
Lunch is by far and away the best part of the work day.
This wind is doing nothing for my hairstyle. If I had one that is.
http://soapbox.co.nz/ v7. Background, entry titles and link colours vary depending on weather in London.
What happens when you get a new video camera and need to test your own capture software? http://tinyurl.com/5dfj39
my DSR-PD170P arrive today, it’s just as pleasing as I hoped.
It’s amazing just how much a decent hot chocolate (with peppermint and marshmallows) makes the world a better place.
“no standing on upper deck (of bus)” not that I could on this one anyway.
for $deity’s sake, when trains are half an hour late, announce the destination before it leaves. Here’s hoping the new camera arrives.
It’s amazing what you can do in a 56KB executable on OS X (ignoring the 800KB of graphics and .nib)
Living on spongecake, watching the sun bake … Wasting away again in Margaritaville.
